Stony Path is about the common uniqueness of the journey.   People often notice how small my feet are, particularly when I wear high heel shoes, and somehow that, at least in my mind, alludes to our individuality, and just how inimitably we experience our paths.  As a minister, writer, educator and Dean of Students, I am enamored by the study and teaching of God’s word.  But if anything is unteachable, it is how to realize and respond to the encounter with God.  I can’t write you a script, or give you cue cards for that.  How you absorb the encounter is all you and God.  But oh my -- Dear God!  -- what the rough, stony places become when we enter His presence!

This book will bless you with a new and profound appreciation for what God has done at every juncture.  You’ll adore His works in the unsavory places of life and may even rethink past experiences.  May your trust and worship never be the same after reading this book.
