But then we go to our private places and release the pressure, like we've taken off a girdle, struggling with relevance, inadequacy, battle fatigue and even intimidation. Life is demanding, but the absolute truth, despite how difficult it is to grasp on certain days of the week, is that you are absolutely amazing!

You see, the promises of God were here when you arrived; the plan of God was in place before all of your tissues were woven, and God ensured that nothing could stop your debut. So now that you are here and may be unsure, hear this; your absolute best self exists in the plan God had before you started pondering, AND it's where your power lives.

Before I Formed You
Your Splendor Was Already in Mind
Take a few minutes to read Psalm 139:14-17 in the New International Version, and you'll find just how intentional God was before you ever noticed one something you didn't like. "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." It goes on to say, "My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth."

God so intentionally formed every part of you, that He worked in the secret, hidden, protected place. Though you were undone, all of your members were in the mind of God, and all of your days were ordained before your first twenty-four hours. God's thoughts toward you, and me, are wonderful!
Embrace what God Gives in this Season!
Some have new contentment, after scaling back to minimal, while some have lost anxiousness because they found the main thing. Many have examined their relationships, and while some have felt the edge of the cliff, they've found God right there!

THE SIGNIFICANT MOMENT
Wow! Have you ever driven behind someone with lots of bumber stickers on their car? I have, and while trying to keep my eyes on the road I've read some that were compelling. One very timely sticker, likely while I was in a hurry behind the slowest person on the road, read, "If you are reading this, you are too close!" I've omitted the expletives from the original message, but I think the reflection of those first few words is worth the mention... "IF YOU ARE READING THIS."
Recent years have been unfathomable in so many ways. Our daily routine became unusual. Nothing, almost nothing at all has been left untouched by what the entire world has experienced. Those who prided themselves in preparedness were caught unaware. Every one of us has had to prayerfully figure it out as we went.
Sadly, many are no longer here, while many are but their world seems upside down. Businesses were jolted, caretaker heroes were pushed to their reserves. Even churches were faced with change for congregational worship. Pastors, charged with caring for others, had to choose between protecting them or pressing them. I, like so many of you reading this article, have had to get on my face, and seek the Lord about how to walk through it.
So now here we are. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, you are here to look back. As much as we'd like to just move ahead, to distance ourselves from what we just saw and heard and experienced, STOP. Stop and look back on purpose. You can relate to Psalm 124, where in call and response, they sang, "If it had not been the Lord," if God hadn't been for us! In verse 6 of the Message Bible it says, "Oh, blessed be God! He didn't go off and leave us. He didn't abandon us defenseless, helpless as a rabbit in a pack of snarling dogs."
I know at times it seemed God was not there, but He has kept you. He has preserved your mind and brought you this far. He gave you strength when it seemed like an empty well. The Lord has seen your tears and heard your prayers. He is faithful and He still loves the world.
IF YOU ARE READING THIS... grasp the significance of the moment and say, "Lord, only you! Blessed be God!"

WHAT IS SOAKING? When we need a change of atmosphere, we often take the time to bask in uplifting music, or a peaceful space. Soaking is a very personal experience of waiting in the presence of God through prayer, reading the Word of God, and worship. It creates a private space, dedicated to just this purpose, and allows you to absorb the blessing of His life-changing presence. Time of adoration to Jesus Christ changes things because He responds to your waiting. In fact, private devotion in the presence of God changes your mind about EVERYTHING that's on your mind by removing burdens! There's no replacement for the lifting, refreshing, and healing that comes from God's Spirit, so reserve the time. Schedule it.
